Simple & Natural Hormone Optimization For Men

LESSON 00: Introduction to Hormone Optimization

First, let’s NOT jump right to the obvious, ok?

When you hear the words “Hormone Optimization for Men”, most would automatically think about TESTOSTERONE.

After all, Testosterone is what makes men, MEN.

This is a Testosterone Molecule

And sometimes the symptoms of low-T are the most obvious ones (or the ones we pay most attention to)…

  • low sex drive
  • hair loss
  • fatigue
  • increased body fat
  • loss of muscle mass
  • the inability to maintain an erection
  • even the inability to make a decision

What most people fail to realize though is that there are things that can be done to optimize testosterone naturally…

…WITHOUT dealing with testosterone optimization directly.

What the heck does that mean?

It means that…

Your low testosterone levels could very well be a symptom of something else that needs to be taken care of - something further up the chain so to speak.

And if you take care of that “something else”, your testosterone levels will rise and/or regulate.

In fact, I’d say that’s the case in most men.

Let’s look at an analogy for hormone optimization in a way that you and I are both familiar with…

We know – hopefully by now – that strength is the foundation for all physical qualities.

Want to put on muscle?

Get a pump with a heavy weight (you have to be strong to lift a heavy weight).

Want to be more powerful? Faster?

Your ability to exert more force into the ground is based on how powerful you are… and power is (literally) the product of strength. (Strength x Speed = Power)

Want to lose more fat?

Strength will determine how much weight you can lift in your fat loss workouts and thus how much more WORK you can do and therefore how many more calories you burn.

Strength makes everything better.


Because it is the foundational physical quality.

So when you get stronger, other “down-the-chain” physical qualities – hypertrophy, fat loss, endurance, power – naturally improve.

So, just like strength is the foundation for the other physical qualities, we also have foundational hormones that govern “down-the-chain hormones” like testosterone.

And if we take care of optimizing the FOUNDATIONAL HORMONES, the down-the-chain hormones usually take care of themselves regulating to normal levels.

It’s at that point then, that we can focus on optimizing those “down-the-chain” hormones like Testosterone.

Jumping right to trying to improve your low Testosterone without dealing with the other underlying issues can lead to at best “a short term fix”…

…and at worst the down-regulation in the production of testosterone (i.e. your body’s ability to produce it naturally).

2. I am NOT a doctor.

I am a strength coach with 20+ years of experience in the fitness and health industry.

I’m also a father of 5 who’s seen fluctuating weight gain…

…has stubborn, hormone-related bodyfat (more on that in the next lesson);

…and has learned how hormones effect everything from how big my “love handles” are to whether or not I actually feel like talking to people (my mood).

I’m going to share with you what’s worked for me without having gone to a western medical doctor.
