I wrote a Muscle Building Course a few months ago called “Fountain Of Youth”.

(You may have heard of it).

Within the programming of the course I incorporated a training-style that was simple, but incredibly effective.

It engrossed a Philosophy that was similar to the way that I lived my life…

And as a result of that, the trainees that did the first 2 phases of F.O.Y. were thrilled.

AT THE SAME TIME...

And People Were Getting
STRONGER As Well...

It was crazy!

Feedback from the first two Phases were rolling in and this SIMPLE, MINIMALIST approach to training was working wonders not only on body composition (building muscle & burning fat)…

…but on Strength Gains as well.

And Then I Screwed Up...

Thinking I should get a little “fancy”…

I wrote what was then the original Phase 3 based on what I thought people wanted, instead of what was already working.

(And what was ALREADY getting amazing reviews & results… duh).

And so when people started to move into the original Phase 3, the emails stopped coming.

There were no more testimonials. No more feedback.

What was up?

Then I got an email from Steve…

He wasn’t the only one that felt this way.

And as it turns out, the original Phase 3 was too far removed from Phases 1 & 2…

People were burning out…

…And EVEN WORSE, they were not enjoying it.

The pleasure of training was waning and what got people to get great results before…

 – Using a completely simple and minimalist approach –

…saw a complete 180-degree turn in Phase 3 and people starting “dropping out”.

It was too complex.

Thanks to the feedback from some key long-time customers (like Steve), I realized this.

It Was Too COMPLEX.

So I re-wrote Phase 3 to be more congruent with the first 2 phases.

And with that adopted these FOUNDATIONAL PRINCIPALS of how I write effective programs that get the results that people want…

Principle #1: CONSISTENCY > Intensity

This is the governing principle that holds true in life as much as it does in training.

Your goals will always be a result of your habits.

That means that training must be done by consistently showing up and doing the work.

Don’t confuse this with “CONSISTENT INTENSITY”… that is something completely different.

Being consistent means showing up and “punching the clock” even when you don’t want to and even when you don’t feel inspired.

You must take an OPERATOR’S APPROACH to training.

Principle #2: Auto-Regulated Training

There are no prescribed sets written in blood.

You go at your own pace with a big picture outlook understanding that where you are now is NOT where you’ll be 4, 6 or 12 weeks from now.

This approach punches “CONSISTENT INTENSITY” in the face and forces you to understand

Principle #3: Contrasted Loading Parameters

You can’t go balls-to-the-wall every single training session.

Doing so is a recipe for burn out, fat gain and injury.

So the programming is set up such that recovery is incorporated into the loading.

Principle #4: Focus on High-Leverage Exercises

These are activities and exercises that create the biggest impact…

…like a Double Clean & Press vs a Bicep Curl.

Or writing that novel that you finally want to write vs messing around on Facebook.
